FAQ’s

Where do you ship to?

Right now, Unique Wall Prints delivers to the UK and Ireland. If you would like for a print to be shipped elsewhere please get in touch for a bespoke quote.

Why are prints from Unique wall prints more expensive than other places?

At unique wall prints, we only produce prints at the very highest standard. This means using the best print houses and the highest range of print material to create that piece of art. Using these printing methods, you piece should not only stand the test of time, but also be a cut above the rest in terms of what you receive. These are not low resolution prints from a home printer.

What are the size dimensions of the prints?

Each print will display the size options when purchasing. In some cases there are more than one option available to purchase, so a size guide will be displayed to help you pick the right one for your wall. for those listed as A4,A3 and A2 sizes the dimensions (Width x Height) in milimeters and Inches are the following;

A4 210x297mm / 8.27x11.69”

A3 297x420mm / 11.69x16.53”

A2 420x594mm / 16.53x23.39”

Square prints are listed in Inches 18x18 is 18inches by 18inches. Special edition prints are usually larger than normal, and are normally listed in CMs. All square prints are equal in dimensions, therefore 80cm would be 80x80cm.

What are the White border dimensions?

A4 - 26.2mm / A3 - 37.1mm / A2 - 52.4mm

There is a secondary reason for having a white border on certain papers; namely, handling. You do not want to transfer any oils from your skin directly onto the printed areas, which may affect the artwork. Always handle the print by the white border, not the printed area.

How are the prints delivered?

Prints will be sent straight from the print house. The print will either be delivered in a sturdy cardboard enveloped or tube. They will be packaged robustly to avoid any damage in transit. However if you notice damage due to delivery, please take photos of the damage to the print as soon as you can and email info@unqiuewallprints.com with the images and your name and delivery address so a replacement can be ordered.

How long will it take to arrive and will it cost extra?

Normally delivery should be within 2 weeks from order, however it may take up to 3 weeks for certain areas. If your area is subject to delivery charges, they will be calculated at checkout.

What is GicléE and C-Type printing?

Giclée printing is using fine art material to print on. This material differs in colour, paper texture and offers a premium quality print. C-Type is more of a traditional photographic print, but on a professional level. Each image will have a certain paper and print process which best suits that piece. This could be to pull out the contrast, produce a more textured print giving a more handmade feel. Giclée prints are more subject to oil transfer from hands and surfaces, so it is always important to handle these prints with care and only touch the white borders when moving and framing.

Please note that the use of fine art paper will add texture and each paper has a slightly different whiteness which will differ slightly from the display of the image you see on screen, please refer to each individual image for more information on paper type and whiteness of the paper.

Can the ink be transferred from the print?

Prints produced on Fine Art Paper can be subject to oil transfer / ink removal when handled. To make sure you avoid damaging the print, only touch the white border when handling, mounting and framing. Damage due to miss handling of the print unfortunately are not eligible to return or replacement.

Who do you use to print the artwork?

Unique wall prints use world class print houses, who have won multiple awards for their print quality and photo reproduction. They offer great flexibility to me as an artist and produce work which is both outstanding in quality and visually striking.

Do you offer other size prints than those listed?

Unique wall prints sell the majority of prints in A2, A3 and A4 sizes, (owing to the ease of sourcing frames), however the Pop Art pieces are more likely to be available in a multitude of sizes. If there is a particular piece you are interested in, and you wish to have it in a different size, please use the contact form to let me know.

Alternatively, you can take your piece to a framing shop. There, they will add a passe-partout to the print when framing. This process increases the outer dimensions of the frame to fit the size you are looking for (by adding different colour card between the frame and the image).

How can I get my print framed?

For the vast majority of prints on sale, there are multiple outlets to buy frames; online or in-store (including custom-made frames at dedicated framing shops). The latter option would always be our recommendation, as they can closely match the frame to your home and personal preference. But any standard A2, A3 or A4 size frame will fit the prints.

are your prints high resolution?

Due to web page compression (and helping avoid easily copying/saving high resolution images on the site), images are displayed at the standard 72dpi for websites. We can assure you, all images are sent to print at 300dpi (industry standard for printing). Also remember viewing distance, it’s unlikely you will view your artwork only a cm or two away on your wall.

Please note that the use of fine art paper will add texture and each paper has a slightly different whiteness which will differ slightly from the display of the image you see on screen, please refer to each individual image for more information on paper type and whiteness of the paper.

Do you offer refunds?

Please refer to our refund policy for full details.

What Camera gear do you use?

Unique Wall Prints photographer Paul Foster uses a Canon 5d Mk4 and the mirrorless EOS R. He tends to travel mostly with a 24-70mm F2.8 and 70-200mm F2.8, mainly due to the range they offer (but also they take up a lot of room in the bag, when trying to pack light).

He also has a DJI Mavic and Spark which are used on occasion allowing for a different perspective, but with heightened drone laws and the unsettled English weather, they do not get as much use as he would like.

If you have any questions regarding the gear Paul uses or how he capture certain shots, feel free to complete a contact form.

How do you edit your images?

The Pop Art prints are the only pieces which include overt photoshop elements. All images shown have been set up and shot by Paul Foster, edited using Adobe Lightroom / Photoshop and prepared for print at 300dpi.
