IMAGE LOCATION: Lake Kariba, Zimbabwe.

While travelling from Kruger to the Okavango delta, I spent a 24hrs in Zimbabwe, hoping to see Victoria falls, but due to low rainfall that year, I opened for a cruise on Lake Kariba, which is the land / water border between Zimbabwe and Zambia, where these elephants freely roam between. Crossing the lake, these three young male elephants where on the hunt for food.

Lake Kariba is fed by the Zambezi river, which at is mouth is where we crossed over to Zambia to carry on our journey, but it’s not only Zambia which is boarded here, you will also find the boarder to Mozambique, creating a busy hub for both people and goods travelling around the continent.
