Sunset in Old Bagan. With over 2,200 Buddhist temples, pagodas and monasteries that stretch for miles across Old Bagan, its was no surprise that you’ll find people looking for the best seat in the house to watch the sun going down on one of these old buildings. However in June 2019 that changed. Bagan was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, meaning temples are now completely restricted to walk and climb up for environmental and cultural heritage preservation. Meaning if you want to good view, there is always the hot air balloons.
